A Tale of Two Grammys on Twitter

On Friday, February 10, 2012 Twitter announced that “This Sunday night the 54th annual GRAMMYs will air on CBS. As with so many other live events on TV, one of the best ways to experience the show is to follow the conversation on Twitter. When the show starts, use #GRAMMYs to see what the world is saying about the performances, the nominees and winners, who’s wearing what and lots more.”

A full day after the event, there was still some residual traffic attributed to the hash tag, though interestingly enough – not as much as #grammys. Apparently case is important, so realize if you go this route, you could be splitting up the value of your tweet reach.

Twitter also mentioned that “…our own @TwitterMusic will be on the ground, live tweeting”. That account was still very active almost 24hrs later with tweeting reach and retweeting action.
