MarketingProfs partnered with the Content Marketing Institute have made available a report entitled:  The State of B2B Content Marketing in North America.

How effective are you as a business at creating engaging content. Content that can be used for marketing? Apparently most B2B marketers are spending more and using social platforms more, but they are not using content in an effective manner. About 65% are doing an OK job or worse. That is kind of like saying two thirds of the class got a C. Hmmm. Time to up the stakes and be better at it.

While the idea grows, the knowledge of the area seems to have not moved too much past the post it and see what happens phase.

This could be the marketers, or the product owners being a bit hesitant or ignorant of what makes for good content. Its more than just speaking at. Its about creating talking points and engaging with the consumer base. Be that end consumers or other businesses.
