Behance, a New York City based “design centrictechnology company” was aquired by Adobe in December. The company has created a platform to showcase creative work and was a response to the “countless creative professionals suffering from inefficiency, disorganization, and careers at the mercy of bureaucracy”. I feel that one can never be told enough to manage their social profile. You never know when you might find another opportunity or worse, have to look for one. Employers are looking beyond LinkedIn to find out what you are all about.

Maybe it is the amount of friends I have on Facebook, or the increased penetration of people using smart phones, or both. I always likened twitter to a formal get together in your living room with your financial advisor and Facebook to the kitchen.
