Behance, a New York City based “design centrictechnology company” was aquired by Adobe in December. The company has created a platform to showcase creative work and was a response to the “countless creative professionals suffering from inefficiency, disorganization, and careers at the mercy of bureaucracy”. I came across the following presentation entitled Pinning Our Lives: Pinterest and Beyond created by Aliza Sherman, on SlideShare. This being the midst of summer and me being a lazy bones, thought I would simply share this today for the post. Enjoy.
The demograpic of Pinners is changing as the site garners more users. Pinterest is now 25 months old since launch. In March of this year, it served 2.3 billion page impressions to 4 million unique visitors each day. Tamba from the UK has produced this infographic with the latest numbers.
Social media is in it’s best form social. That of course means it leans heavily on the individual. As such social media guidelines should be used as a guide and not a policy. This will allow people to participate in social media in a smart way by being educated rather than being told what they can or can not do.
