Clay A. Johnson argues that if you feel like you’re suffering from information overload, the real problem is probably your own bad habits. In his new book, The Information Diet, he makes the case for mindful media consumption.
He advocates a balanced information diet, including a variety of perspectives (not just the ones you agree with), raw information (not just highly processed articles from content farms) and local info (about issues you can actually affect).
Personally – I was on this train a long time ago with when I first heard in 1981 – Too Much Information.
