Veterans Affairs Canada has created a new Facebook app called I Remember which is a remembrance montage for its Canada Remembers page. Use the montage to view photos, videos, stories and messages from followers about Veterans, friends, family and other Canadians who have served in conflict and in peace, including messages of support to the men and women in uniform today.
To add your own photos, videos, links or messages to the montage, post them on the Canada Remembers page at www.facebook.com/CanadaRemembers. Your post will then be automatically added to the montage.
A great way to remember our fallen and those who have served in a social way. I think that since the services work to protect our society, it is only fitting that social media is used in this process.
But please still remember to actually go to a service on November 11th to show in person your gratitude.
