Ryan Delehanty dropped in a local Halifax thrift shop and found a treasure trove of photographs documenting some unknown peoples lives.
Most of the photos are of the same group of mid- twenties characters and seem to be in the late 60s in parts of Halifax, Montreal and Philadelphia. The vintage shots capture a time when we documented our lives on film rather than a social platform such as Facebook or Pinterest.Delehanty has taken some of the photos and created a blog with them. Some are dated, others not. If you think you see someone there you know, you can post on the blog.
There’s often a certain voyeuristic appeal to look through the personal photos of strangers and trying to piece together the underlying story,” - Delehanty
Do you have old photos? Would you populate your Timeline with them, or have you already? One thing is for sure. These certainly capture the real time and space – no phoney Instagram filters here.
